The Vision

Citadel Family,

We are embarking upon a journey that will take us to new heights of God’s call and purpose for our lives. We have much to be proud of concerning past achievements, but are now called to focus and REACH FOR WHAT IS BEFORE US. It is time to conclude unfinished business. Our church has existed long enough with insufficient accommodations, and has become hindered in its potential. We should not and cannot leave the obligations of what we started upon the next generation.

Currently, our campus is compromised of 2 separate, unconnected facilities. Parking is inadequate and inconvenient. Our administrative operations are congested causing us to be organizationally handicapped. We have no office space for ministries and no classrooms. We lack facilities to effectively accommodate children ministry activities; no ministry bookstore space; no recreational sports and fitness opportunities; no choir room facility; and there is a great need for viable space for video and audio production. We have outgrown the sanctuary; members are inconvenienced; staff is at a great disadvantage; and new members are challenged to connect. This negatively impacts our ministry effectiveness while stunting our growth.

We need to consolidate our operations and also provide adequate accommodations to maximize our ministry capability and outreach. God has served us well despite our limitations, but it is now time to finalize the vision by:

  •  Burning and Paying off the Church Mortgage
  • Building the Citadel Worship & Family Life Center
  • Purchasing Land for Future Expansion

By doing this we will enhance our worship experience and strengthen our ministries outreach to men, women, children, and families in our communities, while reinforcing our mission to Reach the World for Jesus Christ.

As your Pastor, I ask that over the next couple months, to prayerfully consider, contemplate, purposely strategize your commitment to this endeavor. On the following page is a financial guideline chart to assist you in determining your commitment.

I urge you to earnestly seek God’s guidance regarding your part in what He is challenging us to accomplish. May God richly bless you as we “Reach For What Is Before Us”!

I am proud to be your Pastor,

Linwood Dillard
